My Top 5 Business Learns of 2019
You can never stop learning.
More than ever you need to continue to work on your craft. It’s essential to be knowledgeable about all things in your business. That way if you need to delegate tasks you are informed and know how to present and hand it over to them properly.
Create your brand
Know what you want to present and the reason behind your passion. My passion began in college during my internship. I landed my first ever wedding and had to learn on the fly because I had just completed my internship and I booked my first wedding. I was more shocked that someone trusted me but the couple was understanding and everything worked out to be a success. I continue to reach out to people in the event community and source out mentors.
Never Give Up
You can do everything you put your mind to as long as you are open to learning and adventures that come your way. I worked retail before I started my own business and a couple of things that were consistent was that you serve people and you listen to their concerns and they love that you can show them something new and different. It is the same in this career. People want to be shown something new, something to make them special, and something to connect them with others. Work hard and you will see the results.
Time
As you get busy your time will be split between work, life and time for yourself. When you begin to work you’re going to be excited and you’re going to want to take every client.
Value Yourself
Know your worth, and begin early with knowing what you would like to charge. This can always change and evolve as you hone your craft. When you come up with your cost think about the value or resources that you are providing.
