Such measures might include a limited guest count and specific regulations, such as no congregating and special seating, to ensure that guests stay six feet apart, at minimum.” Here are a few ways to make sure your wedding is safe and fun for your guests.

Create custom face masks

This is an excellent way to make your guests feel welcomed and ensure that even if they forget their masks they will still be able to attend.

Sanitizing Stations

Having several sanitizing stations in key areas will allow guests to feel at ease even when they are eating, socializing, or dancing the night away.

Reception

To accommodate seating arrangements placing guests who have traveled together at the same table and also keeping in mind the health and comfort of your older, more vulnerable, guests.

Communication

Your officiant, host, and or planner can make a fun and friendly announcement before the wedding begins of how they are planning to keep everyone safe, where sanitization areas are located. Also, be sure to implement directional signage to guide social distancing. Communicate with your guests on the site or via email of changes or updates especially if it is a destination wedding. It will put everyone’s mind at ease that you are taking the extra steps to ensure safety.

Food

Unique kits of hors d’oeuvres or plated hors d’oeuvres are all great options. Plated dinners are a must during this time.

Drinks

During a wedding, it’s usually the most crowded area. A recommendation is to have servers assist the table. To cut down on foot traffic you can take drink and food orders prior to the wedding by sharing a menu. Customers can order custom wine and beer from Eliqs.

Venues

Outdoor venues are going to be your friend. Having the room to spread out allows you to configure tables the way you want it. There are great applications you can use such as Social Tables that will configure distance. You can even create custom indicators for distancing.

Favors

These can all be in custom boxes to go. If you are having virtual guests you can get their mailing information on the wedding site and send them a gift prior to the wedding to add a personal touch.

Create

YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM! People are still coming up with creative ways to make sure their guests feel safe. You have the freedom to create your own version of social distancing. Start a unique way that makes people feel welcome, safe, and at ease.

Streaming

Need to cut down on guests. Stream your wedding virtually. Scale way down especially if you have a wedding of 150 or more guests.
